OUR STORY
TOOLS DIRECT NZ was a natural extension of well-established tools and equipment supplier Western Machinery 2016 Ltd. Western Machinery has been supporting businesses and workshops in the wider Auckland area and better known in West Auckland.
Western Machinery was established in 1993 by Jim Duncan who was well known in the boat building and wood working industries. Jim retired in 2015 when we purchased the business and rebranded it Western Machinery 2016 Ltd.
Trade business sales make up a large proportion of our business although we have always had a retail shop which is based around problem solving and sourcing products for our customers. The launch of our e-commerce website allows us to have an online presence and make our services and product range available to wider New Zealand.
